Activities and events
Join us on a fascinating journey through Tykarpsgrottan’s underground world. Together with a knowledgeable guide, you will explore the impressive passageways and chambers shaped by human hands during the 18th and 19th centuries. Hear stories about the hard labour of the miners and the centuries-old tradition of limestone quarrying in the area, while discovering intriguing fossils and learning more about the bats that now call the quarry their home.
With a steady temperature of 8°C all year round, the quarry is a magical place to visit – dress warmly and let yourself be immersed in the unique atmosphere deep beneath the ground. You are welcome to combine your visit with a coffee break in our café.
Why not book a soup gathering in the quarry? In the atmospheric main hall, beautifully lit by candlelight, a warming soup is served – a perfect way to round off the tour.
Tours can be booked outside regular opening hours and tour times.
We offer a wide range of activities in the quarry – see the product sheets below for more information.
